The CQC has issued guidance on the use of AI in GP services, sharing what it looks at when assessing safety and compliance across areas including procurement and governance, risk assessment, responsibilities, human oversight, learning from errors, data protection, staff training and managing bias.

It is a comprehensive guide that applies to IT-based and digital solutions used in a practice as well as AI tools.
