For practices who decide to only provide SARs to patients, not solicitors
When a Subject Access Request (SAR) is received from a solicitor acting on behalf of the patient, some Practices adopt the process of only sending the completed SAR directly back to the patient. We support this process where a Practice wishes to, and you may find the letter here useful to send to both the solicitor as well as the requester, as its sets out the full legal principles involved.
