[Secure] emailing using Egress

Users are reminded that when sending a message from one NHS Mail account to another it is secure for personal information.  Likewise it is secure when sending to another official organisation such as @police.uk or @Gov.uk (see details here: Guide for Government Organisations – NHSmail Support).

However when sending a message to a non NHS Mail account, such as a personal one belonging to a patient for example, then the message needs to be encrypted which, once a link has been set up between the sender and receiver, can be done by adding the word secure in square brackets in the subject line, written like this: [Secure].  Encryption Guide for NHSmail – NHSmail Support
