Retention periods

We quite often get questions about retention periods, for documents ranging from patient records, to finance agreements, to CCTV files. The NHS has recently updated its Records Management Code of Practice – NHS England Digital and in addition to having some good guidance on the management of clinical records, also contains at Appendix 2 a full retention schedule for just about every type of data you will ever come across.
