IG Portal refresh – Some of you may have noticed that there have been some changes made recently to the IG Portal. Changes include a new Clinical Safety section, some ‘Quick Links’ and the addition of a notice banner. We have also improved the ‘Search’ function, so we hope you find it is bit easier to navigate!

Blog – Unlawful access to records – as shared in our mid-month email, please remind all staff who have access to records of the potential consequences of looking at records without a legitimate work purpose.

Factsheet – Auditing staff internet usage – As this is something we are asked often, we have explained why we are not able to do this audit for you, and what steps you can take to manage the situation internally.

Correction – Apologies but there was an error in the script that we were suggesting as an update for your privacy notice in our ‘Information Complaints’ publication. This has now been corrected, and we advise practices to use the updated wording.

Reminders

While it isn’t an AI product, any practices wishing to use the Accurx Navigator feature will need to complete this brief DCB0160 that has been undertaken by N3i at the request of the ICB.

If your practice is not using any AI products, we strongly recommend that this stance is communicated to all staff and patients, backed up with a statement of intent in the appropriate policy.
