The Yorkshire & Humber Care Record (YHCR) is being rolled out to GP Practices across our area over the coming months and many of you will be receiving documentation relating to it to approve and sign off. The full document set is comprehensive and covers all the appropriate legal aspects of the system as well as providing a useful insight into how it all operates. I can confirm that for the GP Practice who take the N3i Data Protection Officer service I am satisfied that the Y&HCR meets all the requirements of Information Governance and in particular the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. It is important to note that in order to be compliant you must use the Privacy Notice and patient information material to ensure your registered patients can have the opportunity to be informed about it.
